About Me

Valentina Gaddia: London, United Kingdom; Valentina Gaddia was born in Italy in 1980 and moved to London in 2000 where she gained her BA (Hons) Degree in Visual Communication Design at Middlesex University. Life in London launched her to experiment in drawing and sketching. Her body of work is comprised of dramatic pencil and ink drawings from life. Valentina works on paper, wood and found objects. She makes art because she loves the feel of creating, the simultaneous excitement and calm it bestows. Valentina often works from sketches and photo references; however, she greatly enjoys plain air work and strive to do more of it. Her current work is typified by portraits, her favourite subject.
